BD4NRG follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log users when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as a part of the hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring /exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any personally identifiable information. The purpose of the processing of this information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
In order to avoid collection of personally identifying information, BD4NRG uses IP anonymisation by removing the last octet of the IP address prior to its storage.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, BD4NRG uses ‘cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information. More specifically, BD4NRG uses Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA cookies. The latter are used in the newsletter subscription tool of the website.
What are cookies?
Cookies are files which contain a small amount of information and are stored on the browser or hard drive of your computer or device. You can find out more about cookies and how to delete and control them on www.aboutcookies.org.
How do you block cookies?
In order to understand how visitors perceive a specific webpage or file (i.e. a document, picture, an interactive infographic, etc.) and analyse the effectiveness of the website, BD4NRG uses the Google Analytics service from Google Corporation Inc which collects the necessary data.
Opt-out from Google Analytics
By default, the browsing experience of website visitors is tracked by Google Analytics in order to produce anonymised statistics. However, Google has developed the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on in order to provide users the ability to prevent their data from being used by Google Analytics. BD4NRG respects its visitors' choices and whenever our server receives a "Do Not Track" request, the GA tracker is disabled. You can find the add-on here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.
Third Part Privacy Policies
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity. BD4NRG does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
