Elektro Ljubljana, d.d. manages the largest electricity distribution network in the Republic of Slovenia. The network covers over 6,166 km2 in the central part of Slovenia, i.e. 30% of the total area of Slovenia, where it involves total of 342,224 users, were 341,501 users are consumers and 723 electricity producers, which are directly connected to the power network. Electro Ljubljana distributes 37% of the electrical energy consumed in Slovenia. The part of household customers is 27.3% of the total electricity supplied, while industrial part of power supply is 72.7%. A total of 64.8% of the industrial users is connected at medium voltage, with 35.2% is supplied at low voltage. The Company is also responsible for the development, maintenance and management of the power network. Elaborating the power network numerically, there are 17,643.9 kilometers of underground cables and overhead lines and more than 5,522 SN/LV transformer stations (TS). Ljubljana, the capital city, relies almost exclusively on the underground network and covers an area of 149 km2while the cables stretch on over 2.697 km. Elektro Ljubljana d.d. manages distribution transformer stations (DTS) of different voltage levels and transmission ratios, namely three 110/35 kV DTS, 25 110/20/10 kV DTS and one 35/20/10 kV DTS. In addition, 25 distribution stations (DS) provide reliable supply for users. We are connected via the transmission network to the power stations 400/220/110 kV Beričevo DTS, 220/110 kV Kleče DTS, 110/35 kV TET DTS, and 110 kV Hudo DS. The number of distribution devices is constantly growing, showing the network’s rapid development and an increase in consumption. Exceptionally, the 35 kV network is becoming smaller because it is gradually being phased out or replaced by the 110 kV or 20 kV voltage level. In 2019 we continued to install the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The construction of the advanced metering system (AMS) at Elektro Ljubljana is being carried out in accordance with the outlined national strategy. A total 30,520 advanced electricity meters were installed and 32,464 were included in the advanced metering system in 2018. AMS inclusion means that a data concentrator was also installed in the corresponding transformer station and that regular transfer of data from the meter to the measurement centre was activated. Almost 2,500 metering points were included monthly in the AMS. The AMS enables end-users to utilise the functionalities of advanced metering and billing according to their actual consumption. The comprehensive advanced metering system comprises measurement points at household end-customers and industrial customers. The Company boasts with the following certificates: ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), ISO 27001 (Data Protection Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System), which attest company’s dedication towards quality-orientated organization and policy. The Company’s mission is by connecting and integrating advanced electric power supply services, to provide a safe, reliable, high-quality and sustainable system for distributing electricity, while attentively focusing on fulfilling the needs of our users, owners and employees.
