Open Call Dissemination Event, March 17th, 2022
On the 17th of March 2022, the webinar “Open Call Dissemination Event” was organized within the scope of the OPEN DEI project.
The event started with the introductory presentation about the Open Calls, their role, and their importance in European Projects held by Svetoslav Mihaylov.
The introductory presentation was followed by two sections:
- Presentation of running and upcoming Open Calls
- Beneficiaries' experiences and results.
In the first section, insights about running Synergy’s “Innovative Big Data Enabled Energy Services” open call were presented focusing on the timeline, brief requirements, evaluation process, and milestones of the Open Call. The presentation was held by Ugo Stecchi. Raquel Carro introduced us to the upcoming Open Calls within the Interconnect project, whereas Maria Papadimitriou introduced us to the upcoming Open Call within the BD4NRG project giving us an overview of eligibility, benefits, requirements, scope, funding, and the duration of the support.
In the second section, companies involved in previously held and closed open calls presented their experiences. Laurent Schmitt presented Digital4Grids’ advances within the Interface’s Open Call, regarding the design of an edge platform, which serves as a middle point between TSOs and DSOs. Peter Rawlins talked about the reasons for applying, variables for a successful project, the technology fit between the Barbara IoT’s development and requirements of the Platoon’s Open Call, and next steps. Giuseppe Pirrelli explained the technical and R&D fits between MiPU Energy Data and Platoon’s Open call, the implementation, and the results performed from such funding.
The event was concluded with a Q&A session and closing words to the event.
