IEEE SmartGridComm 2021 Workshop on “Artificial and Human Intelligence for Community-empowered Sustainable Energy Systems”, October 27th, 2021
BD4NRG is going to participate at the IEEE SmartGridComm 2021 Workshop “Artificial and Human Intelligence for Community-empowered Sustainable Energy Systems” which will take place online on October 27th.
Via the ‘Clean Energy Package’ the EU aims to place local consumers at the heart of the energy transition, stimulating private people and organizations to create energy communities that locally optimize energy production and consumption and as such increase the hosting capacity of our energy grids for additional renewable energy sources. The purpose of this workshop is to share and discuss experiences and insights from different H2020 projects on the use of AI based techniques for demand response services in energy communities and buildings and the efficient management of the present systems and assets. Furthermore, insights on drivers and barriers and other social aspects that influence the participation of end users in these communities will be presented, as well as aspects on interoperability, economic viability, legislation and a number of innovative energy community pilots across Europe.
Partners from BD4NRG will introduce the BD4NRG project and its vision highlighting on the analytic services for intelligent energy management and showcasing an island community as an innovation example.
